Architectural Context
Overlooking the San Francisco Bay in Marin County, this project harmonizes wine storage with entertaining through an integrated walk-up bar and custom credenza.
The Brief & Design Challenge
Convert an underutilized alcove off the main dining room into an illuminated architectural feature capable of housing 350 bottles alongside glassware and spirits storage.
Craftsmanship & Joinery Details
- Precision CNC-routed bottle slots with hand-beveled edges to protect wine foil capsules
- Concealed touch-release storage cabinets below the credenza counter
- Integrated stone countertop support framework hidden within cabinet carcasses
